Focus and Scope

The Journal of Health Dialogue: Perspectives on Communication, Policy & Society is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of health as a social and communicative construct. We provide a global platform for research that examines how health information, public policy, and social equity are connected.

Our scope includes, but is not limited to:

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing for maximum dissemination and reuse while ensuring authors receive proper credit.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication. Archiving (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS)

To ensure the long-term preservation of digital scholarly content, Health Dialogue utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) systems. These decentralized archiving networks ensure that the journal’s archive remains permanent and accessible even in the event that the journal ceases publication.
